IFOAM EU spoke to the Italian Parliament about the agri-food sector and its issues
ROME, 24 July 2018 – IFOAM EU introduced the Italian deputies to the EU organic sector and movement. It presented the movement’s vision on transforming food and farming by 2030, its position on the CAP post-2020 based on the concept “public money for public goods”, as well as the new organic regulation.
IFOAM EU was invited by the Agriculture Committee of the Italian Chamber of Deputies to discuss the situation and the problems of the agri-food sector. Emanuele Busacca, Regulation Manager at IFOAM EU, and Vincenzo Vizioli, President of the Italian Organic Farmers Association (AIAB) represented the organic sector.
