Welcoming our new colleagues
Andreea Popa will reinforce the IFOAM EU Communications Unit until June 2019. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Sciences at Alexandru Ioan Cuza University in Romania, Andreea moved to the United Kingdom to pursue a master’s in International Development, Environment, Sustainability and Politics at University of Birmingham. For her dissertation, she conducted a field research on the impact of environmental disasters over indigenous communities in Minas Gerais, Brazil. Additionally, she did an internship focused on conservation and sustainability in Cape Verde, which helped her expand her knowledge in the environmental field.
Andreea hopes that through her EVS placement at IFOAM EU she will improve her overall skills and she will learn more about sustainable practices and the work of both NGOs and European institutions.
