RELACS meeting with partners in Frick
On the 13-15 November 2018 a meeting took place in Frick, Switzerland, to finalize the RELACS-AHWP (Animal Health Welfare Planning) protocol and to train advisors on animal welfare improvement tools. The advising method used Farmer Field Schools (FFS), a specific form of facilitated farmer inter-collegial advisory, and data collection with the purpose of reducing the use of antibiotics and the incidence of mastitis in organic dairy farms. 15 advisors and veterinarians from France, Spain and UK participated at the meeting.
RELACS seeks to promote the development and adoption of environmentally safe and economically viable tools and technologies to reduce the use of external inputs in organic farming systems.
