Plant health in organic farming is managed mainly through preventive and indirect measures such as the choice of appropriate species and varieties adapted to local conditions, wider crop rotation, the enhancement of agro-biodiversity, the release of macrobials as well as mechanical and physical methods. The “Haus der Bauern” foundation organises an international congress on the issue of “peasants’ rights” from 7-10 March 2017, which will be attended by peasants, small scale producers, rural workers, and other people working in rural areas as well as other international organisations and numerous stakeholders.
