On 1 and 2 December, TP Organics will organise the Organic Innovation Days in Brussels. One of the main aims of the event is to demonstrate the innovation potential of the organic food and farming sector. The winner of the call will be present their innovations and discuss how to address the needs of organic agriculture and beyond in 3 areas:

Revising the Strategic Research Agenda for Organic Food and Farming
This year the TP Organics Stakeholder Forum is dedicated to the revision of TP Organics' Strategic Research Agenda. The new Agenda will list the research and innovation goals for organic until 2020 with preparations by experts already beginning in January 2014.
Horizon 2020 is the European instrument for all EU research and innovation funding between 2014 and 2020. Priorities have changed in comparison with earlier EU research programmes. The focus has shifted from research for its own sake to innovation with tangible impact.
Putting ideas into practice has become the central goal of Horizon 2020.
The European Innovation Partnership for Agricultural Productivity and Sustainability, or EIP for Agriculture, is an initiative of the European Commission with the aim of bridging the gap between research and practice.
